Prenatal and Postpartum Massage
As a certified massage therapist I specialize in pre and postpartum
massage, offering nurturing touch and care for women. Massage promotes
relaxation, reduces pain and stress, and contributes to shorter less painful
labors. Mothers who receive caring touch are supported in nurturing their
newborn children. I massage non-pregnant bodies as well. I also provide
cranial-sacral bodywork.
Cranial Sacral bodywork is a profound healing process, which can release
the deeply
held patterns
of dis-ease.
The Cranial-Sacral
process
involves 2 main aspects primarily concerned with enhancing the underlying
vitality in the body (Also called the Breath Of Life). It also focuses
on focuses on releasing any restrictions, freeing the distribution of
this vitality through out the body. Cranial Sacral involves a very
gentle
touch, which the practitioner uses to tune into the vitality, which is
expressed in the body as a rhythmic motion. This work encourages the body’s
inner wisdom to allow for health and vitality. It is an extremely powerful
form of
treatment.

Postpartum Doula Care
As a postpartum Doula I am experienced in newborn care,
and the special needs of the new mother and her family during the first
few hours, weeks and months after childbirth.
I support you in caring for your newborn, I can model
approaches to newborn care and reassure you as you develop your unique
style of parenting. I help reduce stress and create a relaxing environment,
by providing nutritional support and meal preparation as well as some
light house keeping.
I am available on an hourly basis, working with you to
create a schedule that reflects your family’s needs. I have referrals
for the areas that I am not available such as night doula work.
Postpartum Doula Support - $30/hour
Childbirth Preparation Classes
Periodically, I offer a wholistic child birth preparation class based on
a body-centered
understanding
of the
birth process,
as well
as exploring
each family's
needs and
desires
for their
birth experience.
We will
hold the
intention
together
to empower
each person
with the
knowledge
and understanding
of pregnancy,
labor and
the birthing
process
to alleviate
fear and
transform
it into
courage.

in this
magical
process
and our
bodies.

New Born Care Class - Through modeling, I offer the

their inner wisdom to find the strength and courage to be the parents
they truly want to be. I also bring practical advice and simple examples
of what to expect and how to care for a newborn infant. $30/hour
Lactation Support
Establishing a pain free beginning will enable you to have a very enjoyable
breastfeeding
experience.
In my capacity
as a lactation specialist, I focus on the simple yet complex relationship
between
baby, mother
and breastfeeding.
After delivery,
I help
support
you in
establishing
a relationship
that
enables
both you
and your
babe to
have
good breastfeeding
habits.

about the
beautiful
way nature
has developed
this amazing continuum

mother
and infant
while giving
you emotional,

Breastfeeding Instruction
I also offer preparation classes to work with you during

breastfeeding
relationship.
